WHAT ARE ROLL TICKETS?
Roll tickets are perforated, numbered tickets on a roll. They’re made of sturdy card stock and available in various colors. Each ticket on a roll has a unique number printed on both ends. The number helps to ensure the ticket’s authenticity and enables efficient tracking and management.
There are two types of roll tickets—single and double ticket rolls. Although there is some functionality overlap between the two, each one is better suited for certain purposes.
SINGLE VERSUS DOUBLE ROLLS OF TICKETS
Single roll tickets are a single spool of tickets connected end to end. They’re great for ride tickets, door prizes, carnival games, and food and drink tokens. Single tickets are sometimes used as admit-one tickets or raffle tickets. However, they are best utilized when your attendee does not need to retain a stub. This is because to get two matching numbers, the single ticket must be torn in half. Doing so leaves a tiny stub that can be lost easily.
Double rolls of tickets consist of numbered, perforated side-by-side ticket pairs strung onto a ticket reel. Every ticket pair has duplicate unique numbers that differentiate them from other pairs on the roll. The primary purpose of this configuration is to serve as both a stub and a ticket. For instance, with double raffle ticket rolls, one half is given to the attendee, and the other is placed in the ticket bucket for later drawing. The number on both halves links the ticket holder to the potential winning ticket. Double ticket rolls are commonly used as raffle tickets, for coat check, and as admission tickets.
